New patient visits
Dr. Angello Lin is an abdominal transplant surgeon in Charleston, South Carolina with a special interest in kidney transplant, pancreas transplant, and vascular access surgery. His treatment philosophy comes from his experience as an immigrant to this country barely speaking English. He remembered feeling lost and confused at first since he could not understand what others were saying. He wants his patients to feel that their physician speaks to them and to understand as much as possible what is involved in the care of their illnesses. He is interested in innovations and improvements in surgical techniques and patient outcomes. The transplant program at Medical University of South Carolina has continued to grow in all aspect of the patient cares. Dr. Lin attended Emory University for undergraduate and was offered a Woodruff Scholarship to stay and finish his medical school education at Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgical residency at Emory University where he won award for resident teacher of the year from the 4th year medical students. He was invited to stay and complete a transplant fellowship at Emory University, becoming the 1st fellow to complete the transplant fellowship. He was recruited to Medical University of South Carolina upon completion of his fellowship in 2000.
