Dr Ashwath Gurumurthi is an Assistant Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed his medical degree at The University of Western Australia (Perth, Australia) followed by internal medicine residency and a dual fellowship in clinical and laboratory hematology in Australia. Dr Gurumurthi furthered his experience in lymphoma and cellular therapies through advanced fellowships in MD Anderson Cancer Center (Texas) and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York). His clinical and research interests focus on T-cell lymphoma and relapsed lymphomas. He is dedicated to advancing innovative treatment strategies to address critical unmet needs in hematologic oncology, while mentoring the next generation of physicians.
