Dr. Erin Hayes is a board-certified psychiatrist and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Hayes has various clinical interests in adult and child psychiatry, transgender mental health, psychotherapy, trauma-informed care, and care of young adults. She is the staff psychiatrist for the MUSC National Crime Victims Center. Dr. Hayes received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa School of Community Medicine. Dr. Hayes completed her internship in psychiatry at Georgetown University, and both her psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Virginia Tech-Carilion Clinic. As a medical student she was recognized through peer-nomination to the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
