Dr. Jennifer Jaroscak is a graduate of The Ohio State College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric Residency training at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She completed her Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship training at Duke University Children's Hospital and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Children's Hospital. She completed her post-doctoral research training/BMT fellowship at University Hospitals of Cleveland/Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. She served as the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program Director for over 10 years. She is a Co-Chair of the Protocol Review Committee for the Hollings Cancer Center, which evaluates the scientific merit of Cancer clinical trials. She is the Director of Pediatric Non- Malignant Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT). Her clinical focus in on HSCT with all donor sources, as well as gene therapy for inherited disorders. Her research interests focus on HSCT and gene therapy clinical trials. She is the Institutional Principal Investigator on the STAR-matched sibling HSCT trial for patients with sickle cell disease, as well as the RUBY and BEAM-101 Gene therapy trials for patients with sickle cell disease. She is a member of the Sickle Transplant Alliance for Research group, as well as the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium committees for Hemoglobinopathies and Diversity Equity and Inclusion. She is a working committee member (Non-Malignant, Pediatric Cancer, and Donor Health) for the Center for International Bone Marrow Transplant Research. Her research interest is focused on curative/transformative therapy for patients with sickle cell disease and improving HSCT outcomes for inborn errors of immunity and metabolism.
