Her educational journey began at the Clara Maass Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Belleville, NJ, where she earned her diploma in nursing in 1977. She continued her academic pursuits, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Daemen University in 1993 and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Hartford in 1998. Her commitment to excellence led her to achieve a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from MUSC in 2014.
Margaret's career has been marked by numerous honors and awards, including the National Association of Neonatal Nurses Distinguished Service Award in 1998 and 2004. Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, she has made significant contributions to the field. Her dedication extends beyond direct patient care to roles such as Clinical Coordinator and Adjunct Faculty, showcasing her commitment to nurturing the next generation of health care professionals. Her other work includes the establishment of the precepts for pediatric palliative care and developing the pediatric end-of-life care for the Nursing Education Program.
