Robert Malcolm, M.D. is a board-certified psychiatrist, clinical researcher, and faculty educator at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Malcolm is a retired Air Force Flight Surgeon, and has held a multitude of clinical research studies, including in the use of ketamine for treatment-resistant depression. For over 40 years, Dr. Malcolm has been a dedicated patient advocate and is well-respected by his peers in the mental health community for his integrity and authentic approach to patient care. He is an experienced diagnostician and a compassionate clinician. Dr. Malcolm is formally trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and can offer this and other customized treatment plans to his patients. He enjoys getting to know his patients as individuals and helping them achieve their unique goals.Dr. Malcolm enjoys living in Charleston and experiencing all the city has to offer. He is especially grateful to live by the ocean and have the opportunity to sail and go fishing with friends and family.
